the program focused on fundamentals of medical coding, ICD, CPT & HCPCS,
anatomy for coders, practical case studies, and career guidance.
World Seafood Congress 2026 was held from

an exhibition stall showcasing community-driven and sustainable seafood practices.
The REEF stall highlighted responsible fisheries, coastal livelihoods, marine biodiversity conservation,
and value-added seafood products developed through local fisher communities and women self-help groups,
serving as a platform for knowledge exchange between traditional practices and the global seafood industry.
The REEF Awards 2025 celebrated individuals who have made
outstanding contributions in research, education, environmental conservation,
and community leadership.
Organized by the
Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF),
the awards recognized inspiring achievers including young researchers,
eco champions, environmental leaders, and lifetime contributors who have
created meaningful impact in society and sustainability initiatives.
Training Program on Sea Turtle Nesting Phenology and Conservation(TPSTNP-2026)
was successfully conducted on January 30 and 31, 2026 at
Pulicat Coast, Madras Christian College – Pulicat Estuarine Biological Research Centre (MCC-PEBRC).
The program was organized by the
Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF).
The training program was supported by EIACP under the
Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Tamil Nadu.
TPSTNP-2026 served as a focused capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening practical knowledge
on sea turtle nesting phenology, coastal habitat assessment, conservation techniques, community engagement,
and long-term monitoring of marine biodiversity along the Pulicat coast.
Eco Expo 2026 was successfully held on January 21, 2026 at
MCC MRF Innovation Park, Madras Christian College, Tambaram.
The event was jointly organized by WAMSA (Waste Management Students Association)
and the Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF).
The expo was sponsored by EIACP under the
Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The objectives included surveying potential mangrove plantation sites, engaging with local communities, and assessing the feasibility of ecotourism in the area.

Through our Marine Species Protection Program, launched on July 20, 2024, we aim to conserve endangered species, protect marine habitats, and foster biodiversity in coastal ecosystems. By collaborating with government bodies and marine biologists, we have been working to safeguard species that are critical to the health of our oceans.
We believe in promoting sustainable tourism that supports the conservation of natural ecosystems. This service had launched on August 15, 2024, aims to create environmentally responsible tourism opportunities that allow visitors to appreciate coastal and marine ecosystems. Through this program, we are combining conservation efforts by making eco-tourism a tool for both protection and livelihood.
At REEF, we are committed to preserving the health and beauty of our coastal ecosystems through regular beach cleanup initiatives. Our latest cleanup event, held on August 15, 2024, was a huge success, thanks to the active participation of volunteers, local communities, and environmental enthusiasts.
Mangroves are a vital part of coastal ecosystems, protecting shorelines from erosion, providing habitat for marine life, and acting as natural carbon sinks. At REEF, we have been actively involved in restoring degraded mangrove ecosystems, with our latest Mangrove Restoration Project initiated on June 10, 2024, along the coast location.
