The Turtle Conservation Internship Program is a 15-Day and 21-Day field-based training program organized by the Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF). This internship is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students who are interested in marine biology, wildlife conservation, coastal ecology, and environmental science. The internship provides practical exposure to sea turtle conservation techniques, coastal ecosystem studies, biodiversity monitoring, and wildlife conservation practices. Participants will gain knowledge about the importance of protecting endangered marine species and their nesting habitats through field observation and conservation activities. During the internship, students will learn about sea turtle biology, nesting behavior, habitat protection, coastal biodiversity assessment, and conservation strategies. The program includes field visits, conservation awareness activities, and practical training that help participants understand real-world environmental challenges and sustainable conservation solutions. This internship will be conducted in the Pulicat coastal region, an ecologically significant area known for its marine biodiversity and coastal ecosystems. The program provides hands-on learning opportunities for students pursuing careers in zoology, marine biology, wildlife science, environmental studies, and conservation research. Upon successful completion of the internship, participants will receive a certificate of completion from REEF recognizing their participation in marine conservation training and environmental research activities.
